EXPLORATION PLACE-NEW EXHIBIT

WaterWorks: Soak Up the Science

National Traveling Exhibit

Water, water everywhere - well, actually, 71 percent of our planet is covered with this precious resource. In this hands-on exhibit, pour over the wonders of water as you manipulate it, harness its power and learn about the challenges of sustaining it for future generations.

Exhibit Highlights:
  • Capture a raindrop, make the perfect rainbow.
  • Test your knowledge about how water permeates our lives: How much salt water covers our planet? What is the deepest lake in the world? Did you know that it takes water to make a tee shirt?
  • Calculate your water footprint.
  • Maneuver hydraulic systems and pilot a model submarine.
  • Plus join Walter, the water molecule on a journey through the fundamental connection between water, life and human society.
Included in general museum admission. Free for Members.
